Azure - Create and manage a resource group- Part 1



Good day all, ok so over the last 12 months I have been studying and working with Azure in my spare time, all in preparation to gain my MSCE Qualification in cloud and Infrastructure, after a lot of study and hard work, I am there! A few weeks back I had the opportunity to take a bootcamp course over 9 days and concentrating on the following exams, 70-532, 70-533 and 70-535, so I used my time wisely and mentally to go through each and every lab the courses had to offer and I have documented every step so that you can follow to study or use day to day, Please NOTE that all the materials to follow are course labs Microsoft Offer and if you have the opportunity to go on any of these course I would highly recommend you do so.. they blew me away! So here go’s…



Step One

In the Azure portal, in the hub menu, click Resource groups.





Step Two

On the Resource groups blade, click Add




Resource group name: 20533D0101-LabRG

Subscription: the name of your Azure subscription

Resource group location: the Azure region closest to the lab location


Step Three

Create Azure resources

In the Azure portal, click New or now Create a resource, click Networking, and then click Route table.




Name: 20533D0101-rt

Subscription: the same Azure subscription in which you created the resource group

Resource group Name: click Use existing and select 20533D0101-LabRG from the drop-down list

Resource group location: the same Azure region in which you created the resource group




Step Four

Create Azure resources

In the Azure portal, click New or now Create a resource, click Networking, and then click Route table.




Name: 20533D0101-rt

Subscription: the same Azure subscription in which you created the resource group

Resource group Name: click Use existing and select 20533D0101-LabRG from the drop-down list

Resource group location: the same Azure region in which you created the resource group
